Day 5 — Your Workplace is Your Mission Field

"I will bless you, and you will be a blessing." (Genesis 12:2, NIV)

Elisa’s story is not simply a story of success—it is tangible evidence of what happens when you choose to say “yes” to God— even when the direction He points you to is not the one you envisioned.

Her business story reveals a powerful principle found throughout Scripture: God’s blessing always carries a purpose that goes beyond the person who receives it. Every gift He entrusts to us holds the potential to impact, transform, and bless the lives of others.

Elisa saw God’s hand multiply what He had entrusted in her. What began with the management of a single apartment grew into a successful company, but what truly sets them apart is their testimony of what happens when success is placed at the service of the Kingdom.

In 2 Corinthians 9:8, we read: “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (NIV). In God’s economy, success is never the destination—it is the tool through which we serve, share, and bring His light into new places.

Matthew 5:16 reminds us: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (NIV). The light this verse speaks of does not come from our abilities but from what happens when we dedicate our gifts, talents, and skills fully to God’s purposes.

Through Elisa’s journey, we see a clear pattern of how God moves in the lives of those who say “yes” to His call.

• God calls: God has a calling for you, but it cannot begin until you choose to say “yes” to His invitation.
• God guides: God desires to show you the specific plan He has prepared for you. When you learn to seek Him before every decision, uncertain roads become part of a safe and purposeful journey.
• God multiplies: When we surrender what He has entrusted to us, He multiplies it. God’s blessing is not a personal reward but a responsibility to steward wisely for the benefit of others. Every milestone reached becomes an opportunity to glorify God, testify of His greatness, and to encourage and empower others along their journey.

The ultimate goal is not what we build, but what we allow God to accomplish through us as we faithfully work on what He has entrusted to our care.

Prayer: Lord, thank You because everything I have comes from You and finds its true meaning in You. I offer You my work and my influence as instruments to glorify Your Name. Show me how to use my position to serve, my voice to encourage, and my success to testify of Your faithfulness. Let my professional life become an altar where Your presence is revealed and Your light is reflected. Amen.
