DAY 3 OF 5

Day 3 — Faith as the Foundation of Success

"Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)

What started with the management of one apartment soon became two, then four, and then an entire building.

Elisa realized that such growth had no human explanation. Every step of faith she took had been guided and confirmed by God. Together with her husband, she understood that God was not simply blessing her work—He was laying the foundation for a vision.

Today, in the heart of Florence, Elisa manages around twenty properties, and her company has become a point of reference in the luxury property industry.

She experienced firsthand what Hebrews 11:6 declares: God rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

Every decision she made became an act of faith - an opportunity to trust Him more deeply. Every achievement was a reminder that when you build your work on the principles and promises of Scripture, success is never a coincidence—it is the fruit of God’s faithfulness.

This is what it means to make faith the foundation of success. It is not passive trust—it is active partnership with God in every decision. It is the awareness that the growth visible to others is always rooted in the unseen confidence you place in Him (see Hebrews 11:1).

Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (NIV) Elisa learned to live this truth—she reflected God in the way she treated clients, made business decisions, and built her team. Her faith became the very foundation of her enterprise.

Oftentimes, we forget that the Bible is the greatest leadership and management manual ever written. It offers eternal principles that, when applied consistently, become the keys to sustainable growth, lasting impact, and Kingdom legacy.

Integrity. Scripture teaches, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” (Proverbs 10:9, NIV). In business, integrity means doing what is right even when no one is watching—refusing compromise and choosing transparency. Elisa learned that integrity in decisions, relationships, and finances not only honors God but builds trust and stability.

Excellence. Colossians 3:23 reminds us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” (NIV) Excellence is not perfectionism; it is devotion. It is giving your best, not to impress, but to honor God.

Diligence. “The hand of the diligent will rule.” (Proverbs 12:24, ESV) Diligence is not just working hard—it is working with order, consistency, and purpose. Elisa discovered that faithfulness in the small things opens doors to greater responsibility.

Generosity. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25, NIV) Generosity never depletes—it multiplies. It is the language of the Kingdom, and those who speak it become channels of blessing to others.

If you are looking for the best strategy to grow your business, start here: build it upon the Word of God. Trends change, markets shift, but the principles of the Kingdom remain true and unshakable (see Isaiah 40:8). The Bible is not only a spiritual book—it is a practical guide for those who desire to build wisely, lead with integrity, and serve with excellence.

Prayer: Lord, I choose to build my life and my business upon Your Word. Teach me to walk in integrity, to work with excellence, to persevere with diligence, and to give with generosity. Let my faith not only be what I confess, but what I live out each day. May my work become a reflection of Your glory and a tangible sign of Your faithfulness. Amen.

About this Plan

EquipHer Vol. 32: "When Your Plans Are Not What You Planned…"

Through this five-day devotional, we share a story of a young Italian woman who learned the power of partnering with God in business. Her journey began with one simple word that challenged her to trust God’s plan, even when it looked completely different from her own. We hope her story will inspire you to do the same.
