Your Gift Brings Life

“On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”
Revelation 22:2 (NIV)

As we close this devotional journey, here’s a beautiful reminder: your gift is more than an action – it’s a seed of life.

In Revelation, John describes the tree of life, constantly bearing fruit and offering leaves for the healing of the nations. What a picture of God’s Kingdom at work! Just as that tree brings renewal and restoration, our obedience and generosity—whether in prayer, service, encouragement, or giving—can bring healing and hope to those in need.

The need in our world is vast. It can feel overwhelming at times. But Scripture shows us that God’s design is for many branches, each bearing fruit in its own season. That means we’re not called to do everything – we’re called to do our part.

Over the past few days, we’ve explored what this looks like:

• Choosing to see and value the one rather than being paralysed by the millions.
• Bringing hope to those behind prison walls.
• Shining God’s light into digital spaces where darkness often reigns.
• Investing in the next generation, recognising they are the church of today.

Each of these areas requires people who will say, “Here I am, Lord - use me.” For some, that will mean stepping out to serve directly. For others, it may mean giving generously so the work of others can flourish.

Paul reminds us in Romans 12:6 - 8 that generosity itself is a spiritual gift. When you give, you’re not just supporting a mission - you’re bearing fruit for God’s Kingdom. And like the tree of life, your offering has the power to bring healing and hope that reaches far beyond what you can see.

Your gift is personal. But when placed in God’s hands, it becomes powerful – bringing fruit that lasts and life that heals.

PRAY

Father God,

Thank You for this devotional journey. I want my life - my time, my talents, and my treasures - to bear fruit for Your Kingdom. Lord, I long to see healing flow like the leaves of the tree of life, touching lives and nations with Your love.

Show me the part You’re calling me to play. Help me to step out in faith, knowing that whatever I place in Your hands can bring life to others and glory to Your name.
