Temptation is not sin by itself, but when we allow it to take root in our hearts, it produces sin and eventually leads to spiritual death. Lust often begins with desire — the enemy entices us to chase what is against God’s will. But God promises in His Word that no temptation is beyond our ability to resist because He provides a way of escape. The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to these escape routes, giving us strength to walk away and wisdom to replace temptation with truth.

Faithfulness is not about never being tempted, but about trusting God to keep us standing in moments of weakness. Just as Paul wrote to the Corinthians, God is faithful and will not let us be overwhelmed. Instead, He equips us through prayer, worship, and the Word to resist every scheme of the enemy. Walking in His Spirit, we learn that victory is not based on our strength but on His power working in us.

PRAYER FOCUS

Holy Spirit, thank You for being my Helper and my Strength. I declare that no temptation is greater than Your power within me. When lust rises against me, I trust in Your faithfulness to show me the way of escape. Empower me to walk in purity, to love righteousness, and to overcome every hidden desire that seeks to trap me. I lean on Your strength and not my own, and by Your grace, I conquer lust in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
