Made for ThisSample

This journey of following Jesus and living in our new identity is not always easy. We need encouragement to keep going, as well as the reminder that we are part of a much larger spiritual reality. As Paul closes his letter to the church, he reminds them of the spiritual battle they are in.
Read Ephesians 6:10-24.
How can you look to God for strength today? In the full passage, Paul points to the protection of God’s truth, righteousness, peace, faith and salvation. How can you lean on God’s Word and pray knowing his Spirit is with you today? Pray for someone who needs encouragement to keep going (and send them a note to let them know you’re praying). Say a prayer for us as a church family to be strong, as well.
As we wrap up the Made For This reading plan, let’s finish with the closing prayer from Ephesians and add our voices to it:
“Peace be with you, dear brothers and sisters, and may God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you love with faithfulness. May God’s grace be eternally upon all who love our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 6:23-24
May God’s peace, faithful love, and grace be with you now and forever. Amen.

About this Plan

Here's the deal. You were not placed on this planet for nothing. And you also weren't placed here for just anything. God created you with a specific plan in mind: to worship and reflect him in all you do. That is your purpose. And while it might seem daunting to live a godly life in today's culture, rest assured -- you are right where he wants you. You were made for this. This reading plan will guide you to read through two books of the Bible (Colossians and Ephesians).
