Made for ThisSample

Sometimes, we are aware of our bad habits and work to address them; other times, we grow complacent in our habits and, over time, completely dismiss them. This happens with simple, everyday habits (like biting your nails or interrupting someone), but it also happens with spiritual habits. In Ephesians, Paul draws our attention to this truth: In Jesus, our old selves that were tethered to bad habits can be made new.

 Read Ephesians 4:17-32.

What are your bad spiritual habits – the thoughts, attitudes and behaviors that you had before you followed Jesus? When do they show up still? Invite the Holy Spirit to renew your mind and actions and get practical on what it would look like to take off the old way of life and choose a new way.

About this Plan

Here's the deal. You were not placed on this planet for nothing. And you also weren't placed here for just anything. God created you with a specific plan in mind: to worship and reflect him in all you do. That is your purpose. And while it might seem daunting to live a godly life in today's culture, rest assured -- you are right where he wants you. You were made for this. This reading plan will guide you to read through two books of the Bible (Colossians and Ephesians).
