Removing the Mask: Finding Freedom in ChristSample

Recovery isn’t just for the addict — it’s for those of us who love them too. Part of our recovery is learning to unmask and face our emotions head-on. To bring them into the light. I learned I don’t have to hide in shame, guilt, or fear anymore.
I learned that instead of reaching for unhealthy coping mechanisms, I can choose to open God’s Word. What if we replaced avoidance with worship? Each small step builds our faith. Each moment of surrender teaches us to trust Him more.
Jesus never promised an easy life, but He did promise His peace in the middle of it. He’s already overcome everything we’re facing. We don’t have to do this alone. And we don’t have to keep hiding.
Action Step:
Start your day tomorrow with one small spiritual habit — read a Scripture, listen to worship, or sit in silence with God. Choose one thing and do it with intention, trusting that He meets you right where you are.
