Causin' a Stir: Thirst Quenching Essentials for Satisfying Your SoulSample

DAY 25 — From Glory to Glory
Transformation is rarely sudden. Paul describes it as “ever-increasing glory”—one small degree at a time. Like a sunrise inching over the horizon, change in our lives happens progressively, patiently, through the Spirit’s work.
That’s good news, because it means you don’t have to manufacture change on your own. But it’s also an invitation: to posture yourself in ways that allow God’s Spirit to keep shaping you into Christ’s likeness.
Transformation is God’s work in you—but prayer and trust keep you open to His hand.
So what’s our part? Think of this as a recipe for change:
1. Pray for it.
Paul prayed, “May God Himself sanctify you completely” (1 Thessalonians 5:23 ASV). Make that your prayer too. Start each day asking God to keep transforming you—spirit, soul, and body—into the image of Christ.
2. Believe it.
Sometimes transformation feels invisible. You wake up discouraged, already convinced you’ll fail. That’s when belief matters most. Pray God’s promises until they shift from concerns to convictions. For example:
- “Lord, I feel lacking, but Your Word says I am enriched in Christ.”
- “Lord, I doubt myself, but You promise to sustain me to the end.”
3. Fix your eyes on Jesus.
Paul says transformation happens as we “contemplate the Lord’s glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV). Keep your gaze fixed on Him—through Scripture, prayer, worship, and fellowship. The more you look at Him, the more His image is imprinted on you.
4. Trust His timing.
God’s Spirit works progressively. Don’t despise small steps or slow growth. Every degree of change is part of the masterpiece He is creating in you.
You may feel like your life is still a page of splatters instead of a finished painting. But remember: the Spirit isn’t finished yet. The One who calls you is faithful—and He will do it.
Drink Deep
Choose one promise from Scripture today (like 2 Corinthians 3:18 or 1 Thessalonians 5:23–24). Write it down and pray it daily this week, believing that while you wait, the Spirit is actively transforming you.
