While We Wait - Living in Expectancy for Christ's Return (For Women)Sample

Day 26 – Trim Our Lamps While We Wait
Just as the lamps of the five bridesmaids needed trimming to keep burning brightly, our hearts and lives need regular spiritual upkeep. While we wait for Christ’s return, now is the perfect time to take inventory of what’s stored inside our hearts, minds, and lives that dishonor the Lord. Meaning, what iniquities need to be removed right now in your life? What could be dimming your light? What could slow you down when the midnight call sounds? Sis, we must be ready and fully prepared when Christ returns for us.
Reflection Questions:
1. What areas of your heart, mind, or life need spiritual trimming to honor God more fully?
2. Are there any habits, thoughts, or sins that are dimming your spiritual light and readiness for Christ’s return?
3. How can you maintain daily spiritual practices that keep your lamp burning brightly?
Closing Prayer:
“Lord, search my heart and reveal anything that dishonors You. Help me to remove sin, renew my mind, and keep my lamp burning brightly, fully ready for the midnight call when Christ returns. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
