While We Wait - Living in Expectancy for Christ's Return (For Women)

DAY 13 OF 30

Day 13 – Forgive While We Wait

When I was younger, I could hold a grudge better than anyone else in my family. But as I grew in my walk with Christ, I realized that holding on to bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness was only hindering my spiritual growth, blocking my blessings, and even standing in the way of my own forgiveness. Jesus teaches us that if want to be forgiven, we must also forgive others. Releasing others sets us free. Unforgiveness, on the other hand, will leave us unprepared—like the foolish bridesmaids without extra oil crying out, “Lord, please open the door!” Sis, choose forgiveness while we wait for His return.

Reflection Questions

1. Is there anyone in your life right now that you need to forgive in order to walk in freedom?

2. How has unforgiveness in the past hindered your spiritual growth or peace?

3. What steps can you take today to release bitterness and extend grace as Christ has given to you?

Closing Prayer

"Lord, search my heart and reveal any unforgiveness I may still be holding onto. Help me to release every hurt and every offense into Your hands. Teach me to walk in love, grace, and forgiveness, just as You have forgiven me. Keep my heart pure and my lamp filled with extra oil as I wait for Your return. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
