BUSINESS BIBLE

You may have heard you can’t afford a day off. Our calendar and lives are designed around work. The 5-day work week for companies. The 6-day work week for small businesses. But for many people, it’s a 7-day work week. We struggle not to work, especially with technology.

The Bible also organizes all our lives around work and rest. God works 6 days and rests one. God finishes all his work, then rests from all his work! We are created to work six days a week and rest one. And we are commanded to work 6 days a week and rest one! Sabbath means to stop working. Rest is designed to come every 7 days on the sabbath day, every 7 years during the year of the sabbath, and every 7X7 years, called the Jubilee!

“Whoever enters God’s rest, rests from their work just as God did.” When was the last time you really rested? You deserve a day off!

Lord, help me to do all my work in 6 days and then enter into your rest.
