I Surrender

Before you begin, I want to sincerely thank you for stepping into this life-giving journey of praying the Scriptures. This is more than a daily reading; it's an invitation to transformation.

Each day, I encourage you not only to read the prayers, but to speak them aloud and use them as a springboard to deeper moments of conversation with you and our Heavenly Father. As you give voice to these prayers, you are releasing the life-giving Word (Prov. 18:21), joining together the two most powerful forces on earth: the living Word of God and Spirit-filled, scripture-based prayer.

At the beginning of each devotional, you’ll find a focus verse(s), followed by key passages of Scripture. Let these verses dwell in your heart throughout the day. Take time to meditate on them and invite God to speak to you in fresh, personal ways as He lovingly reconstructs and restores every part of your life.

I pray that our Heavenly Father ignites a fire in you, a passion for His presence, that will never fade.

"I Surrender" Prayer

Heavenly Father, as I begin this day and this monthlong journey with You, I am thankful for all You have done for me and those I love. Thank You for waking me up in my right mind with the ability to praise You. Today I present my body to You as a living sacrifice, as Your kingdom partner to bring Your will to earth. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me! Lord, I want to ascend to great heights with You and stand in Your holy place. I know that I must have clean hands and a pure heart. Purify me, Father. Remove everything from me that is unlike you.

I repent for times when I placed my trust in people, my career, money, and material possessions instead of You. I live for You, Jesus. I live, move, and have my being in You! Help me, Holy Spirit, to keep my mind focused on the presence and purpose of God so that I am prepared for the work You are doing through me, my family, and kingdom partners. I give You a renewed "YES" today. Amen.
