Kingdom Story Company Month of the Bible Reading Plan

DAY 18 OF 30

God calls us to act justly, even when it feels like the rest of the world has forgotten how to.

Sara’s story is filled with danger, injustice, and oppression. The Nazi occupation threatens her life simply for who she is, yet Julien and his family respond with courage and compassion. They act justly and risk everything to preserve life, showing that righteousness is not always safe or convenient, but it is always necessary. Their willingness to stand for what is right creates a space of protection and hope, even in the midst of fear.

In the same way, God calls us to act with courage, mercy, and justice. Doing what’s right often requires sacrifice and vulnerability, yet it can become a source of profound impact for those who are powerless or oppressed. Small acts of kindness, quiet courage, and commitment to justice ripple outward, inspiring hope and demonstrating God’s presence in a world that so often seems dark and unfair. Like Julien and his family, we may not be able to change every injustice, but we can be the instruments of God’s light, mercy, and protection in the lives of those around us.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  • Where do you see injustice in your community or the world that calls for courage and action?
  • How can you embody mercy and compassion even when it might be risky?
  • Who or what serves as a reminder of God’s hope in your darkest moments?
