Being and living like Jesus is a lifelong journey where we, all 3 of us, are failing every single day. That does not stop us from trying and doing our best.

Jesus said it Himself in the Gospel of Matthew, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me”. This is the total opposite of what the world and the culture tell us to do. We live in a time where everyone is telling you to “Do You”, “Be yourself”, … But Jesus wants us to pick up our crosses and follow Him. The cross was a symbol of where you crucified people. So what do you need to crucify in your life to be able to follow Jesus today? It can be your own goals and aspirations that don't align with God's plans for your life. It can be your foul mouth… or an unforgiving heart… or a greedy mindset… or any unwillingness to change your habits and daily behavior… and sooo many other things.

How do we become more like Jesus? How do we try to live a life that mirrors a perfect human being that never sinned? In ourselves, it is 100% impossible; therefore, God, the Creator of the universe and of you and me, who has thought out everything in the most intricate detail, gave us a helper! The Holy Spirit! Thank God for the Holy Spirit that we can welcome into our lives and ask for help to make us more like Jesus.

We want to submit ourselves and our daily desires to His ways and do everything we can to make an impact in this world. Because that’s essentially why God put us as human beings on this earth, as it says in Genesis 1:27, to be His representatives.
