Day 25: Prayer Changes Us
Sometimes we wonder if prayer really works. Does it change our circumstances? Does it move the hand of God? The mystery of prayer is that while God may answer in ways we do not expect, prayer always works because it always changes us, drawing us closer to His heart and shaping us to trust Him more deeply.
As we pray, we become more aware of God’s presence. Our hearts soften. Our priorities shift. Gratitude grows. Even in silence, prayer transforms us, aligning our will with God’s.
The Israelites once looked upon the bronze serpent lifted by Moses and were healed. In the same way, we look upon Christ lifted up on the cross, and our lives are healed and renewed. Prayer keeps us connected to that saving love.
When we pray, we remember who God is and who we are in Him. And slowly but surely, we are changed into the likeness of Christ.
