Hebrews 11: Flawed but FaithfulSample

Moses’ Faith Walked Away From Power To Walk With God
Faith isn’t just something you believe—it’s something you do. Moses’ faith was not passive but active. From his parents’ courageous defiance to his own rejection of Egypt’s prestige, each step revealed faith: choosing God over fear, promise over comfort, and obedience over ease. In a world where gods demanded service, the Lord served His people—and Moses responded with fearless surrender.
The Hebrews worshipped a God who didn’t need worship, but served His people—from feeding them manna, to meeting them in a tabernacle that invited rest and forgiveness, to leading them through faithful priests who served them before God. Throughout Moses’ life, we see faith in action:
- By faith, Moses’ parents hid him, refusing to obey Pharaoh’s murderous decree—embodying holy defiance and reverent trust.
- By faith, Moses refused to be known as Pharaoh’s grandson, choosing hardship with God’s people over Egypt’s comfort.
- By faith, he left Egypt unafraid, walking into unknown sacrifice with confident trust.
- By faith, Israel crossed the Red Sea, following Moses into the impossible and seeing walls of water transform into salvation.
Moses wasn’t the only one showing faith—his courage sparked collective obedience. Faith is contagious, and when a leader stands firm, others follow.
Moses’ legacy teaches us that faith starts with bold steps—not perfect people but committed leaders. From hidden baskets, to plagues, to the parting sea, God moved through people who trusted Him in the fight. He still does that today.
Do you just believe—or does your belief move you to act?
