Transformed by the MessiahSample

Day 4: The Tomb Was a Womb
Spiritually and symbolically, a tomb presents the end of a life, a place of permanent confinement. The Hebrew word for “tomb,” kever, is also the same word for “womb.” This seems odd since they seem to be polar opposites. But there is a deep and important spiritual truth being conveyed here in the use of kever.
As it turns out, the tomb is not meant to be our end but a new and better beginning through faith in Jesus. It can be the place where we transcend our previous knowledge and experiences. And it can either become the place where our promise and purpose die or the place where we are birthed to fly. God can transform what seems to be our tomb, an end, into a womb that causes us to be reborn better than before, so what others meant to be for our death and demise can be the key to resurrecting us into our destiny and God dream.
And literally, when the Messiah returns, the tomb will become our womb. Those who are in the ground will be taken from the earth—like Adam in the garden of Eden—to be re-created and raised to resurrection life.
Just like the tomb was not the end for Jesus, it doesn’t have to be the end for you! Jesus is calling you, like Lazarus (John 11:43), out of the tomb! Let God kill the fear so you can thrive! All of us struggle with fear. I know I have. Yet we who know Jesus as our Messiah no longer need to fear death because He has conquered it. In God we have eternal hope and a covenant based on the death and resurrection of His Son that brings with it a practical blessing of being unafraid.
God initiated the new covenant in Jeremiah 31:33, in which He declares He will “put My law [Torah] in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (NKJV). Jesus’ resurrection declares death is not the end! God cares! And He will be faithful to do all He has promised us.
Prayer:
Jesus, Yeshua, my Savior, thank you once again for triumphing over the tomb and making it possible for me to live with hope, joy, and confidence. Amen.
