Rooted: 30 Days to Strengthen Your Faith Through StruggleSample

WEEK 2: Planting Truth in Hard Soil
Focus: Replacing lies with the truth of God’s Word to re-root our identity.
Day 13: Peace Is a Person
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27
We often think of peace as the absence of conflict, the result of having no problems, or a perfectly quiet moment. No chaos. Just quiet.
But Jesus offers something deeper.
He offers Himself.
Peace is not about the circumstance or situation you find yourself in. Peace is a Person. And His name is Jesus.
The world gives peace conditionally. When things are good, when people are happy, when plans go our way. But Jesus gives peace that transcends circumstances.
He offers it in the storm. He offers it in the grief. He offers it in the unknown.
This is a peace that guards your heart. A peace that steadies your mind. A peace that reminds you: no matter what happens out there, you are safe in Him.
You don’t have to earn it. You only have to receive it.
Receive the comfort that comes from Jesus as He enters into your situation and calms your fears as you trust in Him. He is Peace.
Let this verse be your anchor today. Whatever is swirling around you, Jesus has already overcome the world. He doesn’t promise a painless life, but He promises His presence. And where He is, peace reigns.
Reflection Questions:
- What has been stealing your peace lately?
- How can you draw near to Jesus today?
- What would change if you saw peace as a Person instead of a perfect set of circumstances?

About this Plan

We often view struggle as a bad thing to be avoided. Who wants pain, right? But what if it's in the struggle that God does some of his best refining work? What if it's in the struggle we are strengthened for the journey ahead? Jesus told us we would have trials - but we can take heart because we never walk the valley's alone. Join me for 30 days as we travel through scripture and strengthen our faith together in the face of struggle.
