Romans 15
A Hope That Overflows
Paul lands his message with power: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope…” It’s not just about receiving hope—it’s about carrying so much of it that it spills into the lives of others.
When we live united, when we carry each other’s burdens, hope builds. It doesn’t stay contained—it overflows. It’s seen. It’s felt. A teammate who wasn’t a Christian noticed that difference in someone—a quiet resilience, an unshakeable joy. That’s what drew him in. Not preaching, but presence. Not pressure, but peace.
Hope isn’t dependent on circumstances. It comes from trusting God, the source of joy and peace. But we often live life like spectators—watching the “service,” consuming inspiration. Paul calls us to more: to be participants, hope-bringers.
What’s in your cup? Is it stress, self-reliance, criticism? Or is it hope? Imagine letting God fill your life so deeply with joy and peace that others get splashed by it. That’s the invitation.
