Romans 10
Christ completes it!
Paul longed for the Jews in Rome to know Christ. They were passionate about God, but they missed the heart of His plan, seeking righteousness through the law rather than through faith. The law was never the finish line—it was always pointing to Jesus.
The law reveals God’s holiness and our need for grace. But human effort can never meet its perfect standard. That’s why Paul declares the good news: Christ is the fulfilment of the law. He lived in perfect obedience, died as the spotless Lamb, and rose again to bring righteousness to all who believe. What we could never achieve, He has already accomplished.
This changes how we live. Too often, we still chase “law-keeping” through performance, comparison, or striving to earn God’s approval. Yet Christ’s finished work frees us from that endless burden. In Him, righteousness is not earned but received. The law no longer condemns us but guides us toward a life of gratitude and obedience flowing out of love.
The warning is clear: don’t cling to self-made righteousness. The invitation is greater: believe in Christ, rest in His grace, and walk in the freedom He has secured.
