DAY 27 OF 30

Healing Together in Thailand

“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted” (Luke 4:18)

In Thailand, ministry partners are responding to ongoing challenges faced by ethnic minorities, migrant workers, and those who have experienced displacement. Many carry the weight of conflict, economic instability, and separation from their homelands. The work of rebuilding lives continues quietly through relationships rooted in trust and shared faith.

Often drawing from their own experiences of hardship, local leaders provide counseling, vocational training, and opportunities for connection. In these settings, restoring dignity is not about what one group “gives” another; it’s about nurturing the gifts and strengths already present in the community.

One ministry center has become a place where women can learn new skills, children can access education, and survivors of trauma can be heard without judgment. Healing is as much about laughter shared over a meal as it is about practical resources. For many, these steady rhythms of presence are what make hope feel possible again.

For these leaders and their partners, the vision of binding up the brokenhearted in Luke 4 takes shape in ordinary acts of care—neighbors listening to one another’s stories, churches standing alongside families through seasons of uncertainty, and communities celebrating small steps toward wholeness. It is God’s mission, already unfolding, that draws people together to keep walking forward.

Reflection Question

Where in your own community might God be inviting you to offer presence and patience to those who are still healing from past wounds?

Prayer Points

  • For emotional and spiritual healing for those living with the effects of conflict and displacement in Thailand
  • For strength, wisdom, and compassion for local church leaders serving traumatized communities
  • For safe spaces where survivors can share their stories and begin the work of restoration
  • For sustainable opportunities that restore dignity and independence for affected families

Prayer

God of all comfort, thank you for the witness of believers in Thailand who walk faithfully with those carrying unseen burdens. Help us to reflect your patience and love as we journey with others toward healing. Amen.

About this Plan

Global Gospel

Global Gospel is a 30-day devotional exploring what it means to join God’s mission in the world. Through Scripture reflections and personal stories from diverse regions, contributors share moments of entering new communities as the stranger and finding welcome through Christ’s love. As you pray and reflect with the global church, may these voices inspire you to live out the gospel—nearby, across cultures, and to the ends of the earth.
