Doubting God in the DarkSample

It can be easy to become discouraged when it seems circumstances are not changing in our favor. It's important to remember that your story is still unfolding. The doubts, delays, and detours you’ve faced are not wasted. Think of your life story as threads that slowly form into a tapestry. Right now, from your perspective, you can only see portions, but from God’s perspective, a masterpiece is forming. Every success and setback is being woven into His greater purpose (Jeremiah 29:11).
The moments you’ve spent wrestling with doubt can one day become your most powerful testimonies. The Bible sheds light on the heart posture that Joseph had after he went through His trials. Instead of looking at the negative, he realized God had used it all for good (Genesis 50:20).
In the same way, your tears and even your unanswered questions are not meaningless in God’s hands (Romans 8:28). I would encourage you to surrender your timeline in the process. This doesn’t mean you stop dreaming or hoping, but simply that you trust Him to write your story better than you could (Psalm 27:13–14). Trust that He is faithful and that He will, by faith, write a better story than you could have ever imagined.
Today's Challenge: Write a prayer committing your future to God, asking Him to use your entire story for His glory. Keep it somewhere you can see it so it can serve as a reminder.
Let's Pray: Father, I place my life in Your hands. Use every chapter for Your purpose, and let my story point others to You. Teach me to trust Your timing and to rest in the fact that You are weaving all things into something beautiful.

About this Plan

Life has a way of leading us through both mountaintops and valleys, seasons of clarity and seasons of confusion. In this reading plan, through John the Baptist’s story and the other verses in Scripture, you’ll see that doubt doesn’t disqualify you, God’s silence isn’t His absence, and your calling is worth more than your comfort. He is still writing your story, and His pen has never left the page.
