He Comforts Us

I, even I, am he who comforts you. … As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. … Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! … Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. … God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us.
