Leadership Lessons From John the Baptist

DAY 6 OF 6

Lesson 5. Leaders are people with principles.

John the Baptist preached uncompromisingly. He exposed and confronted evil. He paid a high price for his principles, but he refused to compromise. Whenever he engaged in dialogue with religious leaders, he openly rebuked them. When the king did something wrong, John was the prophetic voice of reproach. John's uncompromising attitude and the absence of compromising material against him allowed him to publicly proclaim the truth boldly and openly.

Today, more than ever, we need people who possess a high level of consciousness and deep convictions who will boldly confront evil. The modern church needs leaders who are genuine yet have a spotless reputation and who will serve as moral authorities for society. Make a decision to live your life in such a way that your future self will respect your present self. Never let yourself be ashamed in the future of the decisions you make today. If you have young children, when they grow up and learn about the decisions you've made, they should admire your choices. Be a person with principles and high ideals. Never betray them.

Thank you for taking this plan together with us!

We hope these days of prayer helped you to get closer to God, hear His voice, and live with new clarity, power, and hope.

This plan was created by the “Vidnova” church – the congregation that strives to live out the Gospel every day, bringing hope to this broken world and forming hearts filled with God’s Kingdom.
