Leadership Lessons From John the BaptistSample

Lesson 3. Leaders constantly develop their competencies.
Lots of people came to John the Baptist. Different people wanted to get the answers and hear advice on various life matters, and he answered each one according to their request. The scale of John the Baptist’s ministry suggested the grand range and high level of his competence.
To execute our call, we have no right to stop our development. We live in a society where the only constant thing is change. The rapid development of life, science, and technology urges us to constantly develop and educate ourselves.
The example of John the Baptist, the encouragement of Apostle Paul, and other Bible texts inspire us to never stop studying, reading books, attending seminars, and workshops.
Apostle Paul, at the end of his life, being in prison, asks Timothy to bring him books. Such an example of Apostol’s great thirst for education calls us to develop ourselves until the very last minute of our lives.
