Impulses for the Way: 30 Days on the Camino De SantiagoSample

Feedback of Your Own Footsteps
Walk at a slow pace, paying attention to the feeling of your feet hitting the ground. Hear the feedback of your footsteps. Now pray and invite the Holy Spirit to quiet your spirit.
Pray as King David did in this Psalm: “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24, NIV).
What are some anxious thoughts that come to mind? Commit these thoughts to God.
Read the psalm again. Is the Holy Spirit convicting you of any offensive ways? Confess them to him.
Pray and ask God to lead you in the way everlasting.
About this Plan

What if following Jesus was like walking the Camino de Santiago—dusty paths, vineyards, mountain passes, and ancient Roman roads? *Impulses for the Way* is a 30-day, video devotional filmed across 800km of this historic pilgrimage. Barrett Harkins, who lives in Santiago and serves pilgrims daily, shares stories from the trail, Scripture reflections, and prayers that explore restlessness, forgiveness, hope, and radical grace. Whether you’re on the Camino or navigating daily life, these short videos invite you to take the next step with Jesus—listening to the Spirit’s whispers and remembering this truth: you never walk alone.
