Washed White as Snow
As we think about the spiritual attacks we face, we can rest in one of the most beautiful, unbelievable, undeserving aspects of salvation: When we come to Jesus, when we confess our sins, when we repent and trust in the finished work of Christ, we are not just forgiven; Scripture tells us He remembers our sins no more.
Think about that. As humans, we may say we forgive someone, but honestly, most of us still hold a grudge, and the next time they mess up, we’re quick to remind them of their past wrongs. Not so with God. His forgiveness is complete, absolute.
Hebrews reminds us: “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more” (8:12 niv). Jesus, our High Priest, didn’t just offer Himself as a sacrifice, He became the sacrifice—the perfect, spotless Lamb. But He also mediates a new covenant for us, one built on a better promise. He doesn’t hold our sins over our heads, waiting to remind us of how we’ve failed. No, He wipes them away completely. He washes us white as snow. We are cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus.
We deserve the full weight of God’s wrath: death, hell, and eternal separation from Him. But Jesus took it all. He stepped down from glory, leaving the perfection of heaven to enter into His creation. He lived a sinless life that we could never live. He was mocked and beaten, His bloodied body nailed to a cross—for you and for me, for our sin. The King of kings, the Lord of lords, hung on a tree, His flesh torn, His blood spilled. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a greater love. When we come to the knowledge of all He has done, there is no other place to go than to our knees in worship.
But that wasn’t the end of the story. On the third day, He rose (1 Corinthians 15:4), proving that He was the once-for-all atoning sacrifice and substitute for our sin. He conquered death, hell, the grave, and Satan forever.
If we turn from our sin, lay it all at His feet, and trust Him as Lord over our lives, we’re not only forgiven—we’re welcomed into the family of God, adopted as sons and daughters of the Most High! Hallelujah!
Yes, Lord, hallelujah! Thank You for taking the punishment I deserved, thank you for loving me when I was still a sinner. May I live my life in humble surrender and obedience to all you have done, not to earn your love but as an overflow of the love you have given me. Amen!

About this Plan

As Christians, we are in a spiritual war, but we don’t fight alone. We have a Savior who has already secured the victory and who offers us life—full, abundant, and eternal. As we navigate the battles of this fallen world, including the wounds we suffer, we can cling to the hope that the war has already been won. So let’s armor up and stand firm!
