Day 4: Hope in Him

Even in the depths of suffering and in the midst of despair, in Christ we are never truly alone. Like a shepherd protecting and guiding his sheep through dark and dangerous places, the Lord is always present with His people. The shepherd's rod represents God's power to protect us from harm, correct our course, and oversee our lives, whilst the staff signifies His leadership, dependability, and support. Under His divine care, even in the darkest valley, we remain secure.

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you are my protector and comforter. Thank you that even in the darkest times, you are there. Take all of my fears, worries, and suffering, Lord, and help me find comfort in you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
