Day 1: Trust in Him

Like a shepherd looking after his sheep, Jesus provides everything we need. This is a deep and trustworthy promise. It applies to all of the provisions that meet our daily, earthly needs, and more importantly, the much greater gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ. This doesn't begin at some future time; it is active and alive from the moment we trust in Him.

With the Lord as my Shepherd, I am the undeserving recipient of unending love, mercy, and grace—blood-bought by His sacrifice on the cross. With Jesus as my Shepherd, even in times of hardship and scarcity, I have everything I need.

Prayer: Father in heaven, giver of life, thank you for providing everything I need. Lord, give me a faithful heart to trust in you, and eyes to see and appreciate your wonderful provision in this life and for all eternity. In Jesus' name, Amen.
