4 - LORD'S PRAYER - the Servant's PetitionsSample

15 – So be it! Amen!
(Matthew 6:13)
Jesus’ prayer ends with “Amen.” This Hebrew word shares its root with terms such as faith, truth, security, firmness, and trust.
To have faith is more than agreeing with certain truths — it means resting in calm confidence that everything is under the Creator’s control. On the opposite side of faith stands fear: the inability to entrust ourselves into the hands of God the Father, who is infinitely good.
“Amen” means “So be it” — it is an affirmation of faith!
To say “Amen” is to believe that everything rests in the Father’s hands and that, in the end, all will be made right. To say “Amen” is to overcome fear and doubt, even when they surround us or rise up within us.
This prayer — the Lord’s Prayer — holds the entire journey of humanity: our reaching toward heaven and our roots deep in the earth. Within it, we face both light and darkness, yet we still declare: “Amen.”
And we can say “Amen” even to the dangers of evil, to the certainty of temptation, to the wounds we’ve suffered and caused, and to our daily need for bread — because we trust that God is our Father, that His Name has been made holy in us, that His Kingdom is coming, and that His will shall be done — on earth as it is in heaven.
This prayer begins with the confidence of those who lift their eyes to God,
and it ends with the faith of those who declare: “Amen.”
Beloved, this confidence does not come from ourselves. It is grounded in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. To Him be all honor and praise, now and forever.
Amen? Amen!

About this Plan

We have already reflected on how we should pray and we have already talked about the Lord's demands. Now, let’s talk about the Servant’s Petitions. The first part of the Lord’s Prayer focuses on the Lord God. In the second part, beginning with "give us this day our daily bread," the prayer takes a turn and begins to address topics such as hunger, evil, temptation, and other issues. Shall we talk about that? Edilaney, from Brazil!!!
