Day 2 - Jesus is…Faithful.

Matthew 14:22-23 and Psalm 89:1-2 (ESV)

Devotional: The story of Jesus and Peter walking on water is filled with Jesus's faithfulness. Matthew 14:30-33 (ESV) says, "But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, 'Lord, save me.' Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, 'O you of little faith, why did you doubt?' And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, 'Truly you are the Son of God.’ Peter falls into the water and loses faith. He doubted, panicked, and began to sink, but Jesus did not hesitate. He immediately reached out His hand. Jesus stayed faithful even when Peter wavered. This moment reveals that our personal doubt does not shake Jesus' faithfulness. His love and rescue are not based on us; it is based on who He is. Rest in the reality that you are not earning His faithfulness. You are loved with a perfect, faithful, and steadfast love tonight, tomorrow, and forever.

Prayer: Jesus, remind me that You are reaching for me when I doubt, panic, and begin to sink. Thank You for your steadfast love. I need it daily!
