A Comfort We Can Share

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NIV

Nobody is too young or too old to suffer hard things. But no matter how hurt or disappointed we might feel, God is good. He’s faithful to help us and get us through to the other side of our problems. But He doesn’t stop there! He pours so much love and comfort into our hearts that we can share it with others who are hurting.

Have you had to try, try, and try again to accomplish your goals? You can encourage someone who’s ready to quit. Have you overcome sin and bad habits? You’re able to share the good news of Jesus’ love and forgiveness with the world.

God will never waste our pain. He’ll answer our prayers for help and hope so we discover how great His love truly is. Then, we get to take the comfort He’s given and pay it forward.
