Through the Word: Knowing God, Making Him KnownSample

Friendship with God:
Because we’ve been saved by Jesus, He invites us into so much more than just forgiveness—He invites us into friendship. He calls us to know Him personally as our Savior, Lord, and closest Friend.
In John 17:3, Jesus defines eternal life as knowing God, not just knowing about Him, but walking in a deep, daily relationship with Him (NIV). This kind of intimacy grows as we spend time with Him through prayer, reading His Word, worship, and simply enjoying His presence. Eternal life starts now, and it looks like knowing and loving God more each day. Throughout the stories of Jesus, we see a consistent pattern—He often withdrew to spend time in prayer with the Father. Jesus understood the deep importance of spending time with God. He knew that when we take time to connect with God, He will reveal incredible things to us: He will show us what He has done for us, who He is, and—most profoundly—who we are in Him. When you spend time with God, He unveils your true identity, reveals His character, and reminds you of the things He has done in your life.
This 30-day Bible plan is simply a starting point—a guide to help you draw closer to God. But if you desire to continue growing in your relationship with Him, look for moments throughout your day to turn your heart towards God. Whether it’s a quiet prayer, a moment of reflection, or simply seeking His presence in the midst of your routine, make space for Him. As you do, you’ll discover deeper intimacy with the One who created you and loves you beyond measure.
