Chosen for Love: A Journey With JesusSample

Chosen for a Purpose
When Jesus walked this earth, He intentionally chose twelve men to journey alongside Him, each one unique in personality and background. From the impulsive, bold Peter to the tender-hearted John, whom Scripture calls "the beloved," these men weren’t random selections. They thought they found the Messiah, but in truth, Jesus sought them out, calling each into a transformative relationship designed just for them. Their stories unveil a profound reality: Jesus extends that same personal invitation to you. He knows your heart, your quirks, and your struggles, and He calls you into a connection that’s uniquely yours.
I invite you to explore what it means to choose a relationship like John’s—one anchored in deep love, unwavering trust, and intimacy with the Savior. John rested close to Jesus’ heart, both physically at the Last Supper and spiritually through his steadfast devotion. Yet, we also see warnings in the disciples’ lives—moments of doubt, like Thomas's, or betrayal, like Judas's. These pitfalls remind us that following Jesus requires intentionality, a daily choice to lean into His voice over the world’s noise.
God’s call to you isn’t fleeting; it’s an eternal bond with your Shepherd. He longs for you to know His voice intimately, to walk with Him through every season. As you reflect on this, consider how Jesus meets you where you are, inviting you to trust Him fully. Will you choose to draw near, to rest in His love, and to follow where He leads?
