A Bicycle Built for Two
Greg & Kathy Lemond's story
I felt like the theme song for the documentary 'The Last Riders' should be 'Bicycle Built For Two'. It's about the storied life of Greg Lemond—the only American to legitimately win the Tour de France.
One thing that stands out is the undeniable love between Greg and Kathy Lemond as husband and wife.
Granted, it's evident that this movie is about one man's achievement on a bicycle. Still, it also shows how this couple achieved everything together.
How marriage is truly a gift that can complement all of life!
They both share their side of the story and how they needed one another throughout the journey. This film shows how God's gift of marriage is truly a blessing. When protected and valued, it can stand life's challenges and benefit everyone around them.
What I loved seeing was the message that even if Greg had not achieved these outstanding feats of athleticism, Kathy would have been there for him at the finish line.
"He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord."- Proverbs 18:22 (NIV)
