Day 6: Overcoming Discouragement
Perseverance in Prayer
Obstacle: Discouragement
Scripture:
Galatians 6:9 (NIV) - "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Devotional:
Sometimes, we don't see immediate results from our prayers. We may feel discouraged and tempted to give up. But Galatians 6:9 encourages us to persevere. Prayer is not a one-time event; it's an ongoing conversation with God. Even when we don't see immediate answers, God is still working behind the scenes. Continue to pray, trusting that He will answer in His perfect timing.
Reflection:
"Have I felt discouraged in my prayer life? What can I do to persevere?"
Action: Find a prayer partner – someone who can encourage you and pray with you. Share your struggles and celebrate your victories together. Also, keep a record of answered prayers. This will serve as a reminder of God's faithfulness during times of discouragement.
