Spirit-Led Emotions: Mastering Emotions With Holy Spirit Sample

Day 3: The Fruit of the Spirit Governs My Emotions
Devotional Thought:
The Holy Spirit doesn’t suppress your emotions—He sanctifies them. Instead of asking God to make you “not feel,” ask Him to bear fruit in how you respond. Love in place of defensiveness. Joy over despair. Self-control over impulsivity. The fruit of the Spirit isn’t a list of moral behaviors—it’s the evidence that you’re being led and shaped by the Spirit, even in emotional moments.
Processing Questions:
- Which fruit of the Spirit do you most need help cultivating in this season?
- What would emotional self-control (or gentleness, or peace) look like in your day-to-day interactions?
- How can you intentionally invite the Holy Spirit to bear this fruit in your life?
Prayer Prompt:
Holy Spirit, produce Your fruit in me. Teach me to respond—not react—with Your love, Your patience, and Your wisdom.
