Finding Peace and Wholeness in JesusSample

In this part of the story, Jesus tells a parable. A parable is used to exemplify a moral or spiritual lesson. In the parable, two people owe a rich gentleman two different amounts of money. One owes him a lot, and the other doesn’t owe him very much at all. Something key to highlight is the fact that neither of them could repay him the money they owed. Nevertheless, the rich gentleman chose to forgive them both. Yet, in the religious leader’s own words, it was indeed the person who owed him a lot who was more grateful and loved him more than the person who owed him a little.
What do you think Jesus meant by the part of the parable where he said: "When neither could repay him, he cancelled both debts"?
In this story, the different characters are used to explain our standing before God as people who have broken his perfect moral code, yet he in his mercy, has decided to forgive all our wrongdoings through Jesus’ death on the cross. What do you think about the concept of sin? Do you think only God, who the Bible says is perfectly moral, is the only one who can really decide what’s right and wrong?
