Finding Peace and Wholeness in JesusSample

Many of us are often blind to our own wrongdoings but are very quick to judge and condemn other people’s wrongdoings. In this story, Jesus is invited into the house of a religious leader. Whilst they were eating, a woman who had a reputation of being sinful walked in and poured expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet. She wanted to turn her life around and she believed Jesus was the one who could help her do just that. When she was in his presence, she felt overwhelmed by his forgiveness and love because she knew he was holy and perfect, and that she had made many regrettable mistakes in the past which he knew about completely. Yet, he didn’t expose her or make her feel worthless. He accepted her act of worship. The religious leader who was hosting Jesus was silently judging the woman, and Jesus too, because he believed if Jesus was truly a holy man, he would tell her to leave.
Do you think the woman was right in pouring expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet?
Do you think the woman was right to have grieved her past life?
