The Gospel of MatthewSample

Faithful in the Small Things
I once found myself in a season of deep frustration. I had big dreams, clear goals, and a strong sense of purpose—but the progress felt painfully slow. I was showing up, putting in the work, but nothing seemed to be moving. That’s when someone spoke a word of wisdom that stayed with me: “If you overestimate what should happen in the first year, you’ll underestimate what God can do in five.”
God’s kingdom often grows in quiet, unseen ways—like seeds hidden beneath soil or yeast working its way through dough. At first, it doesn’t look like much is happening. But over time, the growth becomes undeniable.
In parenting, ministry, or any call God has placed on your life, it’s easy to feel like your efforts aren’t making a difference. But small doesn’t mean insignificant. Every prayer, every act of kindness, every moment of faithfulness counts.
God sees what you’re planting, and He’s the one who brings the increase. So today, be faithful in the “small” things. Stay consistent. Keep trusting. Don’t despise the slow seasons—they’re where deep roots are formed and lasting fruit begins to grow.
Respond to God’s Word:
Be faithful in a “small” area today, trusting God to grow it.
