Simple Prayer: How to Pray Like JesusSample

Father
The Father Who Shapes and Guides
Read: Psalm 32
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." (Psalm 32:8 NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Psalm 32 reminds us that God’s guidance is rooted in love. He disciplines us not to punish but to lead us toward freedom. A good father lovingly teaches his children to walk in wisdom. When we pray, “Our Father,” we are also saying, “I want to follow your lead.”
Reflection Activity:
Is there an area in your life where God might be gently correcting or guiding you? Ask him to show you what your next step could be. Write it down.
Breath Prayer:
- Inhale: “Father, guide me…”
- Exhale: “…I am listening.”
Prayer Practice: Ongoing Conversation
Throughout the day, ask short, honest questions like, “Father, what do you want me to do here?” or “Is this your path for me?” Be open to his promptings.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your loving guidance. Help me to trust your direction, even when it’s hard. Give me a teachable spirit and a willing heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
