CollideSample

There is no shortage of good advice out there. Search Google or ask AI a question about what you should do in any given situation, and you will get an answer almost immediately. But like any advice from the Internet or a real person in your life, it’s more than just listening that does the trick.
As this proverb says, you have to accept it. You have to act on it. You must follow the advice being given. That’s the real difference. We can listen, understand, and even believe the advice we’re hearing is accurate. The real change occurs when we take action. That’s where many of us stop the process of change, because taking the step from belief to action is hard. It feels risky and unpredictable. It doesn’t always just feel this way; it is that way.
Sometimes change is something that happens to us, but sometimes change is something we have to choose for ourselves. So, where do we need to choose change? Where do we need to decide to act, rather than believe things should be different? What might be keeping us from making that change? What is the advice we don’t just need to listen to but accept?
Scripture
About this Plan

Change often feels like a collision. Getting jolted out of the rut of predictability doesn’t always feel good, but it does have the potential to lead to something positive. Scripture is full of examples of people who collided with God and were never the same because of it. That didn’t mean it was always easy, but it did mean they were forever changed as a result. What would it take to put yourself in a position to collide with God?
