Stop Thinking Small: God's Plan Is Bigger Than You Imagine

Everyone desires the freedom and fulfillment that comes with owning a business. We long to build something meaningful. We aim to create something that supports our families, leaves a lasting legacy, and funds Kingdom work. But for many of us, the phrase "small business" becomes a mental limitation. We say we believe in big dreams, yet we shrink them down to fit our comfort zones instead of stretching to match God's limitless capacity.

I understand this all too well. After more than 25 years as a business owner, I've experienced seasons where outside circumstances, such as the economy, self-doubt, and fear, have dictated how I viewed my business. I've stared at what was in my hands and thought, "It's just not enough." But every single time, God has whispered, "I don't need a lot to do a lot."

Think about the story in 2 Kings 4. A widow, burdened with debt and despair, told the prophet Elisha, "I have nothing except a small jar of oil." That "small" thing became the very vessel God used for a supernatural outpouring. Her little turned into more than enough because she offered it in faith.

As Kingdom entrepreneurs, we must let go of the word small. There is nothing small about a business backed by a God who is infinite in power and provision. God wants to expand your reach, multiply your influence, and stretch your capacity, not just for your benefit but for the people you're called to impact.

This week, I challenge you to identify every limiting belief and every mental box you've placed around your calling. What if God's plan is so much bigger than your current vision? What if He's waiting for you to release it into His hands? It's time for you to think bigger. Your oil isn't insignificant. When surrendered to God, it becomes an overflow.
