Winter Warm-Up Sample

“I asked you to come here today so we could get acquainted and so I could explain to you that I am bound with this chain because I believe that the hope of Israel - the Messiah - has already come.” - Acts 28:20 (NLT)
As Christians there can be times of great struggle and persecution. It may look like ridicule or being bullied for having faith in jesus.
As unfortunate as that is, Jesus did say this would happen.
The world hated Him first, and His followers. We too will be hated by the world.
In Acts 28, Paul is arrested and being sent to Rome to defend himself to the religious leader and Caesar. While being chained, Paul was able to witness to the people about the Kingdom of God, Jesus - The Messiah - who already came and the hope of His return. Paul was chained and yet, he still dared to hope, to share the Good News. He didn’t let some clanking chains stop him from spreading the truth.
Do you feel persecuted, bullied or muzzled? Take heart, for Jesus overcame the world. What can mere men do to you? Today share the hope that you carry; the Gospel cannot be chained.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for the hope You have placed in my heart. I pray that You will help me to share that hope with someone today. Let Your gospel live unchained in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen
