Clothed in My Right MindSample

It Is Finished: Rising in Wholeness and Authority
“When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” – John 19:30
My torment was finished.
My silence was finished.
The shame, the self-hate, the perverse language—I laid it all down.
Because I came to a powerful realization: the tomb was temporary.
What once held me captive no longer had the final say. The grave clothes came off. I was no longer bound by what buried me. Jesus called me out, just as He did for Lazarus, and I began to walk in freedom.
On my heart for you, dear reader:
We are clothed in a sound mind.
You are not your mental battles.
You are not your anxiety, your depression, or the torment that tries to steal your peace.
By His stripes, we are healed(Isaiah 53:5).
He was wounded for our transgressions.
He was bruised for our iniquities.
And the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.
The blood of Jesus not only restores our minds, but it also restores our identity. You are who God says you are: whole, loved, and redeemed.
As you read today’s devotion, receive the truth that healing is your portion, peace is your inheritance, and your mind has been marked by the power of the cross.
These three words—"It is finished"—reverberate through eternity, announcing that everything trying to bury you has already been defeated. When Jesus got up from the grave, everything that once gripped you, shame, fear, cycles of defeat, anxiety, was disarmed (Colossians 2:14–15).
The tomb is empty. So is the well of shame.
Woman, you are loosed from your infirmities! (Luke 13:12)
The resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event; it is a spiritual reality that begins with a renewed mind (Romans 12:2). The cross severed the ties to your yesterday, and the resurrection sealed your new identity.
Confronting the Voice of the Past
You are no longer a prisoner of your history. When thoughts from the past try to speak, when the burden of failure, shame, or unworthiness whispers, speak back.
Declare with boldness:
“It is finished. I am no longer who I was—I am who God says I am.”
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!” – Luke 24:5–6.
Let the Resurrection Speak Over You
If you ever need reminders, allow the following to resurrect you when old patterns attempt to bury you again:
- The Word: Jesus confronted lies with truth (Matthew 4:4). His Word is your sword.
- Peace: Every encounter with Jesus restored peace to the soul (John 14:27).
- Worship: The woman at the well worshipped in spirit and truth; the man delivered from the tomb proclaimed the Gospel (John 4:23–24; Mark 5:20).
- Spiritual Identity: Jesus always declared truth over people’s identity. He called the bleeding woman daughter (Mark 5:34); the man in the tomb was commissioned (Mark 5:19).
- Mental Wellness: As a Proverbs 31 warrior, you are called to strength and dignity (Proverbs 31:25)—not anxiety or despair.
- Emotional Peace: You are not meant to be buried under emotional weights. Wholeness is your portion (Isaiah 53:5).
- Healing: You are healed from your infirmities—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally (Psalm 103:2-4).
Key Reflections:
- The resurrection of Jesus is a call to rise: spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. His victory is your inheritance.
- You have the spiritual authority to reject shame, silence fear, and break free from past cycles.
- It is finished means you no longer have to fight battles that Christ already won.
- Wholeness starts with a renewed mind—replace old patterns with heaven’s truth.
- Your healing and restoration are personal and customized by God's grace, not meant to be compared with anyone else’s journey.
- You are loosed from everything that has tried to bind you—walk in the freedom and identity spoken by Jesus.
Spiritual Practices:
- Meditate daily on John 19:30 and Romans 12:2. Let the Word wash your mind and renew your inner man.
- Practice gratitude each morning for the finished work of Christ. Write down what you are free from.
- Worship in truth, letting praise silence the voice of shame and fear.
- Fast from comparison: Focus your heart on your God-ordained assignment.
Declaration: Because he got up, I rise.
I rise from every tomb I’ve ever been in—emotional, mental, or spiritual.
I will no longer rehearse defeat. I declare: It is finished.
I walk in resurrection power, clothed in spiritual authority, emotional peace, and wholeness.
Jesus has spoken over me—I am free.
