Find & Follow Jesus, Quarter 3Sample

Devotional:
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4 (NIV)
Psalm 100:4 invites us into a posture of worship, teaching us how to approach God—with thanksgiving and praise. These are more than just outward expressions; they are heart postures that help us focus on God’s presence.
When we begin with gratitude, our focus shifts from what we lack to what we’ve already received. Thanksgiving reminds us that God has been faithful, generous, and kind. Praise, on the other hand, lifts our eyes from our problems and centers us on who God is—His goodness, power, love, and holiness.
We don’t need everything in life to be perfect in order to praise God. In fact, some of the most powerful worship comes when we choose to thank Him in the middle of life’s storm. Gratitude and praise open the gates to deeper intimacy with Him. They transform our perspective and help us recognize that God is near, even when life feels uncertain.
No matter what season you’re in—whether joyful, weary, or somewhere in between—you are invited to come into God’s presence. As you begin your day or step into prayer, let thanksgiving and praise be your starting point. You’ll be amazed at how it draws you closer to the heart of God.
Prayer:
Are you feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or distant from God? Take a few quiet moments to pause and enter His presence intentionally—with thanksgiving and praise. Begin by listing three things you’re thankful for today, no matter how small. Then, praise God for who He is—His goodness, His faithfulness, and His provision—in your life.
About this Plan

Follow our quarterly plans to read through the entire Bible in one year, plus a bonus round through the Gospels and Romans. Each day, we encourage you to read the sections from both the Old Testament and the New Testament, and then set aside some time to write down, journal, or memorize the first posted verse from each day. Every week we provide an additional devotional for further discussion on that week's themes.
