Creating to Heal: 7 Days of Healing Through Art & PrayerSample

Repentance is not about beating yourself up. It’s about turning from what never worked and stepping into what will. It’s a posture of humility, not punishment. A changing of your mind and heart, and returning home.
Acts 3:19 says, “Repent… so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” Refreshing. Not shame. Not guilt. Refreshing.
Some of us have used unhealthy behaviors or even sinful patterns as survival tools. The enemy lied and said, “This is what will keep you safe.” But it only kept you stuck.
God’s kindness leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4). That’s what this moment is—an act of kindness. He’s not asking for groveling. He’s offering freedom.
And 1 John 1:9 promises that when we confess and turn to Him, He forgives and cleanses. He’s not just fixing what’s broken—He’s making it new.
Today, lay down what you’ve clung to, and turn toward the One who heals.
Reflection Question:
What unhealthy habit or thought pattern are you ready to turn away from?
Creative Prompt:
Tear up a piece of paper. On each piece, write something you're releasing. Then reassemble the pieces into a cross, a flower, or another image of hope.
