Power On!Sample

The parable of the Good Samaritan is one that not just challenges us to love others in our words, but also in our actions. Samaritans were a people who at the time were considered outsiders, and yet they were the one who stopped to help and show compassion to the injured man.
Showing love to others may mean we need to step outside of our comfort zone; it may be that we need to do what is inconvenient to be the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth. Jesus calls us to be like the Samaritan, showing our compassion and love in tangible ways, even when it is unexpected.
Today look for an opportunity where you can show kindness to another person.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to love those around me with my words and my actions. Show me those who need love and card, and give me the strategy of how to show them compassion like You show me. Amen.

About this Plan

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
