Pathways to PurposeSample

In 1 Samuel 13, King Saul makes a critical mistake by offering a sacrifice before Samuel arrives. His impatience and fear led him to take matters into his own hands, instead of trusting God’s timing. How often do we find ourselves in a similar situation? We may feel pressed by circumstances, and like Saul, act out of fear or frustration. But God's timing is perfect, and our impatience can sometimes cost us the blessing He wants to pour into our lives. Saul's decision cost him the permanence of his kingdom, reminding us of the importance of waiting on God's direction. Trusting God means trusting His timing, even when things don't seem to be moving as fast as we'd like.
Today, if you find yourself feeling impatient or anxious about a situation, pause and trust God’s timing. Take a moment to pray for peace and strength to wait on His direction, knowing that His plans for you are always good.
Prayer:
Father, forgive me for the times I've acted in impatience. Help me to trust Your perfect timing and to wait faithfully for Your direction. I trust that Your plans for me are always best. Amen.
