After the Cross

DAY 12 OF 15

Want to be a megaphone for the movement? We are to make the world look more like God’s Kingdom. But what does that look like? In Galatians 5:22-23, Paul shared what God’s Spirit is like—what He is like. He is Loving, Joyful, Peaceful, Patient, Kind, Good, Faithful, Gentle, and marked by Self-Control. Since that’s what God’s Spirit is like—since that’s what God is like—that’s what our lives must be like, too. We create a place where God’s Character is the order of the day—a place where His Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, and Goodness are the order of the day.

So, be a representative of His Goodness everywhere you go. If a customer service person is on the phone with you, be a representative of His Kindness. If someone on your kid’s baseball team is struggling with something, ask them if it’s okay to ask your Father for help, and go to Him right then. You are a son or a daughter of God. Be like your Father, everywhere you go. People will notice.

About this Plan

After the Cross

Although crosses are common to us today, they meant something different during Jesus’ time. The cross was the ultimate form of punishment, an extremely painful form of death that was reserved for the worst of criminals. Jesus experienced this painful, humiliating form of punishment, but the Cross was just the beginning of the story. We’ll look at the significance of the Cross, but also what happened after the Cross.
